We love the way you capture the stillness in a moment. Thanks again for sharing...

I like the picture Lucy but kept thinking how much I liked the pattern on the cups and dish (lol).

Thank you Guyz.

I'm rather proud of this photo because it makes a plastic milk-bottle look ok.

Hello Hermes

Perhaps I should see if I can take an interesting photo of cups and plates with distressingly horrible patterns on them.

That would be a challenge.

In fact, I did wonder whether this photo 'counted' because so much credit goes to the person who designed those cups and the plate. To take a picture of them is merely to reproduce their work - ie. to cheat.

Oh the ethics of photography and blogs!

I wondered how you managed that particular pattern of light and dark. Not only is there light on the subject, but also a 'blop' of light in the left field. Then the mid lights, and the dark. Good range. Was there a sunbeam coming in the window on the milk jug et al.?
Very nice shot.

Hello Barbee

For outside photographs, I take things 'as they are' but I don't have a flash on my camera so I have to organise them a little when indoors . . . and I confess I did stand an angle-poise lamp (the kind one would have on a desk) on a kitchen chair beside my right shoulder.

That provides most of the illumination for this photo.

But there was also an open door and a window, on the left, further forward. Sun coming from them lights the pink box and the drawers in the dreser.

Hi there, I'm a newbie looking your blog over... I particularly like this breakfast shot, a still of everyday life for most of us. :)

And I'm glad your comment led me to your blog too.
