I love the look of the stone and the lichen on the grave stone.
And I wonder who put the stone there.If she were still alive, I would suspect Barbara Hepworth.Lucy
I thought you had placed the stone there Lucy until I read your comment - the stone itself is a beautiful shape - very Hepworthish, as you say.
Hello Weaver of Grass.I think the stone may have been brought from a beach far, far below.There was a similar grave nearby and it too had a stone balanced on it like this - but I thought this was the nicer of the two.And another out-of-placeness . . . neither of the graves are very ancient but they are set in the ruins of a thirteenth century church.Lucy
