Hello Tyra. I'm glad you have found your way back to Pictures Just Pictures. I had a time without a camera so had to stop posting for a while - but now I am happily in action again.

Hello Luis and Faye - so much is in the angle of any shot, don't you think?

Pat, yes, much history attached to this gun-site. There are lots of war remains round here - pillboxes (do you know them? - horrid little concrete shelters with lookout windows where soldiers (or home guard members?)stood to watch for landings, 'tank teeth' to stop tanks being brought onto shore, anti-aircraft gun bases, even a ship sunk across the entrance of a harbour to create an under-water barricade against submarines and other ships. It's weird to have these crumbling around us - but good for us too - so we don't forget.
