Hello Barbee.

It's lovely to hear from you from time to time. I often think of you and wonder how you are doing.

Glad you like the photo.

Hello Blogitse.

It was your comment on LOOSE AND LEAFY which spurred me to change the settings for comments. Spam was a big problem for a while but Blogger has introduced a filtering system so I'll see if I can trust to that.

With regard to your comment about this picture . . . on the day I took it, the 'warm' was absent, even though the light was bright.

Welcome back. I like this very unique shot. It almost seems like the water is flowing up into the mysterious white light.

I love the angles - you always have such a good eye Lucy.

Hello James.

Where the 'mysterious white light' is, there was (is!) indeed water. I was under the road bridge which crosses the Fleet as it flows into Portland Harbour. (This is in Dorset and of a very interesting geographical formation.) Being right by the sea, it is tidal, hence the seaweed. Sometimes the water sloshes up onto the path and lingers because of the irregularity in the joins in the concrete. I don't know why it's arranged like this. The underside of the bridge is altogether ugly - but interesting and good for photos! It's surprisingly light under there too because there's sky and water behind me as well as ahead. (Hence the photograph.

Morning, Hermes.

It's the angles that 'do' it!

Thanks, Just a Plane Ride Away.

I've just tried to leave a comment on your Kew Gardens post. (Some lovely pictures there!) But the place to write in wouldn't come up.

I was going to say I went to Hampton Court for the first time this summer. Arrived on one of the river boats and enjoyed it immensely. If you haven't been there already, I would highly recommend it. I did not have time to go into the house but I imagine that is just as interesting as the gardens.

Hi Lucy,
Thank you very much for the nice comments. I'm usually amazied by coincidences but I didn't even notice this one until you mentioned it. :)

I never switched to the new blogger system and It seems like it was a good choice. Maybe you could find a solution if you click the help tab or ask everyone you can until you get help. I've done it before and it worked.

So glad you're back Lucy...such a simply great photo.

Thanks Patio Patch. My eye tends to be caught by lines which relate to each other in some way, whether curved or straight and, as you mention, textures.

Glad you like the photo and hope you will like to visit again. I post a picture every day.

Hello James - thanks for the suggestion about asking others for help through Google.

I have hit another problem - that if I take a photo by holding the camera in a portrait position with the intention of posting it landscape, Blogger insists on loading it portrait, even though I have rotated it on my computer first. It's amazing how things look good one way and totally un-interesting the other - so I'll need to ask for help on that one too. There must be an answer!

Hello Chuck.

I've been missing posting the pictures. I'm still having troubles with the internet and computer, both of which keep cutting out but maybe they will be solved soon, just as I eventually managed to get a new camera. When that happens, I'll be able to visit more often.
