It is the best time of year for looking at trees - those intricate black silhouettes. Reminds me of illustrations by Jan Pienkowski (I have one as desktop wallpaper). About your comments on double flowers - I generally agree with you though I make an exception for the snowdrop!

I love this - they look like the silhouettes of three witches cooking up their brew in the moonlight.
