Lucy Corrander - Sepia Reeds - 19th October 2008
I am enjoying the sepia...perfect for grasses. Rather what a grasshopper must see.
Wonderful - what great texture.
I think I might try a sepia blog picture for a change, once I find a suitable subject.
Hello Philip and Hermes. Glad you like this picture - it makes me glad I included it even though the focus isn't very good. The reeds simply wouldn't stay still long enough in the low light! If I get the opportunity I'll return on a sunnier day and 'try again'.Lucy
Easy GardenerSepia seems to work out for almost anything. For some things - like these reeds - it emphasises their true quality. For others, it changes the atmosphere radically - which means you could probably take a picture of a dustbin and it would still look interesting when given a sepia tinge!Lucy
