Lucy Corrander - Shadow of Fence on October Grass
I do like this Lucy - though perhaps some snow would have made it more realistic today!
For me it looks like it is taken early spring and I like it! :-) LOL Tyra
Another brilliant unusual shot Lucy
a fine bit of geometry trying to get a late tan! Pythagoras' theorem.....the square of the hypotenuse = sum of square of october temperature and square of dying grasslook out for a poem about your photo 'Rope' soon!
Hello Hermes and Tyra and The Weaver of Grass and Gordon . . . Hermes - do you have snow already in Westbury? I think there must be pockets around the country. A bit like frost. Some here and none there, perhaps in close proximity.I took this about a week ago (21st October) and things certainly have chilled down since then.Tyra - it's interesting, isn't it, that coming up through this short, brown, almost dead grass there are plants which really belong to next year. It'll be interesting to see whether, with the protection of the trees, they get off to an early start in the spring or whether they'll simply get zapped by the autumn cold which is now arriving. Thanks, Weaver of Grass. I know I keep saying I'm glad you like the pictures here - but I am!And Gordon - I look forward to the Rope poem. (It's nice to see your 'G' appearing on the followers lists!)Lucy
