A click on the bigger version produced a photo which filled the screen with such a fantastic colour - it doesn't come over in the smaller version but the larger version is suffused with a beautiful light, Lucy.

Hello Weaver of Grass.

I'm really glad I set the blog up so pictures can be seen in three different ways. It's surprising how different they can turn out to be.

The wonderful light in this one was a foreboding of rain. Ten minutes after I took the photo, I was soaked!

As a note of extra interest - this bridge is like Tower Bridge in London - it goes up to let boats under. The little tower with the flag on the top is where buttons are pressed or levers pulled or whatever they have to do to make the sections rise (and from where loudspeaker announcements warn people to get off the bridge quick first!).
