Hello James

Glad you like it.

By the way, anyone who happens to read this - James Golden's garden is one of my favourites in the whole world - not that I've been there in real life!

But may I recommend people to visit his blog and see for themselves?

Hi Lucy. Yes I tried again and as you can see I have easily got to your site. Love your photographs. Hope you'll keep reading my blog - my photos are not up to your standard though.

The Sky is an amazing colour in this one, love the contrast between the fuzzy mauve and the limey greens.

Hello Zoe

I remember you commented on the sky in the Silhouette photo.

Yesterday, the telegraph pole probably took backstage to the sky which was its backdrop.

There is often a lot of sky in my photos because it is one way to isolate a shape from its context.

But sometimes they seem to metamorphose into photos of sky, enhanced by the shape of the thing I thought I was photographing. A kind of negative!

P.S. Now the jolly old sky is about to pour water over the washing on the line. I'd better bring it in. Summer skies are gone - but come December / January (with any luck) they'll be as intensely blue as the ones like this - which we had in the summer.

Beautiful picture, Lucy. I really don't know what to expect before I actually get here but when I do, I'm never disappointed! Love the green against that blue!

Oh my, the sky is so clear and blue! I love all the details of your pictures.

Hello Kanak - it's the same when I visit you at your blog . . . never know what you will have there . . . plants . . . recipes . . . bees . . . the moon . . .

About the green and the blue - my spirits rise when I look at them bright and juxtaposed like this.

Hello Brenda Jean . . . the bit about the green and blue was really in response to your comment!

(Haven't woken up properly yet and the day is grey and dull and hasn't got going and nor has my brain.)

And I'm feeling dis-jointed because after weeks of waiting for the weather at sea to be calm enough to go to Lulworth by boat (where I was planning to take photos of a prehistoric forest). . . the harbour master has taken the pier down because of the gales . . . so I'm not going . . . so I'm feeling cross . . .

Right . . . got that out of my system!

Thank you for becoming a 'Follower' of PICTURES JUST PICTURES - it's good to know you like it!
