I'm not sure what the 'thready bits' were. Their basis is spider-web but it looks as if threads from something else got tangled there too. No point in going back to see now!
It's interesting, Lene, that you see nostalgia in the picture of the shed with the threads. Is it the use of black and white or the fact of the wood which makes it seem that way?
That's it, isn't it? That something boring and ordinary like an old garden shed can come alive, almost magically at times, when light shines on it from the right angle.

I can't believe how good the images are today - the accolade list is bulging.
I agree a wonderful shot, full of interest and light and shade.
Lovely!
Wonderful light and shadows! Very interesting.
enjoy the perspective and how BW brings out the grain in the wood -- fun photo
Interesting photo with great lightning
I love the light; how it pools, and how it highlights the *thready* bits.

Hello Aileni.
Thanks.
And I agree. There are some really striking photos in the emerging list for this week's Monochrome Weekly.

Thanks Hermes.
Dusty places nearly always hold interest. Throw in some light and you have magic.

Hello Kanak.
I'm always pleased when you visit.

Hello ElinS. Tunes and Tone.
It's fortunate when one happens along just at the moment when a stray beam of let finds its way into an unlikely place.

Hello Jeff.
I agree. Black and white photos are brilliant with flat surfaces. They show a structure which might go un-noticed in colour.

Anne. Hello. That's an obscure comment! What housewife? ! ! !
lucy
Oh, Anne - do you mean to do the dusting? Dusting in the garden?
Lucy
Hello John the Aware Writer.
I like the 'even' with the cobwebs! I think the cobwebs are 'especially' interesting!
Glad you like the photo.
Lucy
Very nice. I love the light in the spider webs!
Simply elegant and simply "simple" - I loved it.
Great shot :o)
Lovley shot!!
Thank you Irene and Vita Stunder. I'm glad you like the 'Shed and Thread' photo. I look forward to the Weekly Monochrome.
Lucy
Hello Sylvia.
The light has got caught in these threads in the way dew gets caught by those of spiders. Irrestistable.
Lucy
Thank you Rune - for your elegant comment!

Love the angle and perspective here, along with the shadows. Just perfect! :D
A very good and interesting angle!
Good shot. I would never have thought to photograph a corner, but it looks great!
Beautiful, just beautiful! I so love monochromes... and you captured the light and texture so wonderfully in this shot.

Glad you like the monochrome shed.

Hello Oz Girl.
I'm glad you like monochrome photos. They can be quite special at times.
Monochrome goes for texture and the angles. Colours can be so distracting! (Well, and nice too!)
Lucy
A very interesting photograph. This is perfect in monochrome.

Thanks Virginia.
