wow, what a interesting picture!!
Have a nice day Lucy!
This is nice!!!
I like the sky, is give a good efect to the picture.
Have a nice day:-)
Such a great name and a wonderful photo Lucy.
Love the sky and those seedheads are just great!
I love this autumnal photo, I've been trying rather unsucessfully to get a good old man's beard photo so well done! :)
Great picture. I've never seen that plant before. It's very interesting and unusual.
Hello Hermes and Janet.
I find Old Man's Beard against a blue sky uplifting of the spirits. 'Travellers' Joy' is a good alternative name for it - though I'm not sure whether that is used for it when it is at this stage.

Hello Robert.
I'm still getting used to a camera which I don't feel completely comfortable with - and if a sky complements the plants in the picture - I get very pleased.

Hello J - I usually find white flowers and seedheads horribly difficult. Detail usually goes missing. But with Old Man's Beard it's reaching high enough. Some of the lower seed-heads can look a bit grey and stodgy after rain!

Hello Debbie.
It's fascinating how what is everyday to some of us is unusual elsewhere in the world.
Our hedgerows are almost solid with Old Man's Beard at present. One of the challenges in taking a photo is to find a bit that is distinct from the rest. In some places it covers other vegetation so completely it's as if an alien species of cotton wool is trying to take over the world . . . one can sometimes have too much of a good thing!

Hello Bentonflocke.
Glad you like the photo of the Old Man's Beard.
I find nearly every day with a camera is a good one!
