Hello Janet and Noelle. I'm surprised, every autumn, how plants like nettles and ground elder spring up fresh and new - as if it's spring. They nearly all get zapped back when the cold comes . . . but it's such hopefulness!
I wouldn't want ground elder in my garden but I feel I'm on a campaign on behalf of plants like these I really do like them . . . . as long as they stay in the hedgerows, I suppose!

Lovely composition, beautiful play between the sunlight and the shadows.
Lovely picture but though I hate to destroy things. Ground Elder can be a real thug in the wrong place.
I have spent most of my summer digging out armsfull of this invasive plant so although it is a good photo it turns me cold the very thought of it.
