Hello Chuck - when I thought I had to stop on Pictures Just Pictures because of photo space - you pointed out that wasn't so. However, I had already set up 'Message in a Milk Bottle'. Now, I have realised how radically different photos look depending on their background - so I've begun to post them on both blogs (time spaced within the same day). Glad you are finding them here! It would be interesting to know what you think of the difference between the 'atmospheres' of the two blogs and the impact on the pictures.
lovely, but i thought you have many doors in one post. We've just been to Solo, Surakarta, Indonesia and you will see the most colorful, varied styles of doors. It was amazing. The only place i saw where doors, windows, openings are so colorful.
Hello Andrea. I only put one picture in a post - but, having said that, I don't think we make much of doors here in the way some other countries do. Very few are carved or ornate in any way.

You don't see many of these any more. Striking shot of the horizontal and the vertical.
