YET ANOTHER WHEEL ON A BEACH!

I like these images the incongruity of scrap and nature appeals in pictures. Not in reality though.

Morning Adrian.

If there were too many wheels (or other scrap) all in the same place, it would be dreadful. Spread out over time (and a bit spaced in precise location) I find these wheels ok in real life as well as in photos. (Though know, really, I should object.) One thing fascinates me particularly - why wheels? All I can think is that young teenagers bring them down to play with, then abandon them. They string tyres up in the woods from time to time so they can swing from the trees too. So much is said about children not having exercise and being confined to home and adult supervision in their out of school hours - I take these wheels as a sign of something positive, as well as of rubbish.

Of course, if I were walking along the beach and came across these guessed-at children and they threw the wheels at me - I might change my mind!

Cool shot!
I agree with you - now it looks ok but if there were many it would be a different thing...

Hello Blogitse.

Although I wouldn't like to see a huge pile of wheels on a beach - it would make for an interesting photo!

It's strange, isn't it Luis, how boring and ordinary things can turn out to be of interest, even 'lovely' when framed.

Until you suggested the wheel is lonely, Hermes, I hadn't seen it that way. Now I do.

Marka - I doubt whoever has lost this wheel would find much use for it now!

The wheel looks so out of place but it makes a very interesting image.

I clicked delete instead of publish on your last comment. Sorry about that. To be honest I'm very surprised that I've never done that before.

p.s. I'm going to Paris,Brussels,Bruges,Lucerne and Zurich. Maybe a few other places too.

Hello James.

I had to moderate my comments for a while because so many spams were arriving. I too was always apprehensive that I'd press 'delete' by mistake and was glad when Blogger brought in the anti-spam function so I could turn it off again.

Have a wonderful time in Europe. The places you mention will give you lots of opportunities for your kind of photography. I hope you make time for other things too!

Lucy
