Hello Faye and BLOGitse and Hermes - this boat really is yellow with red blodges. I've always admired it and have long wished to take a photo of it before it is re-painted but it has always been bobbing around, just out of reach on the water when I have passed by. Then, on the day I took the photo with the girl on the rocks . . . there it was, all bright on the beach for a change. Hurray. It's the owner who is really to be congratulated!
The boat has been like this for quite a while. I suppose it will have to be re-painted one day but, in the meantime, if it were to capsize, it would be easily noticed on the water!
Oh! Blogitse - I forgot to say . . no, I haven't photographed this boat before. I don't know which one you are thinking of but you should be able to find it by clicking on 'Boats' in the sidebar.
Lucy, I just discovered your blog. Your photos are wonderful. I have spent a very pleasant few minutes browsing your archives and will be back to finish when time permits.
I would love to live live by the sea. Those photos always speak to my soul.

I hope they don't repaint it...it is beautiful as it is!
That is such a quality shot of something most people would overlook. The coloring is fantastic. Great eye as always Lucy!
