I often take photos from this angle. I have a flat faced DSC. Using a DSLR camera in the same way might be awkward because the lens might get in the way.
I'll be interested to see what you do with the idea. I don't see every post so, if you do do something like this, perhaps you will let me know so I can make sure to take a look?
