Another good one! Thanks but no thanks on twitter.
I do love that Lucy. Like an Impressionist painting.
Pretty...so many colors tucked in there!
Beautiful reflection...
Greetings from Casablanca, Morocco!

Lovely rich colours. It makes me think of Santa Fe (probably wrongly, as I've never been there).
I've been looking for a reflection like this to photograph and use as a Weekend Reflections post. That is really nice.
Loving it...it looks like something i've seen in a museum..
Hello Angie.
Hope Twitter sent you an ok notification. I don't know quite what happened - it gave me a list of people with Twitter accounts that I might like to follow and I ticked your name - and the names I of some other people I have come across through their blogs. I thought it would lead me to your base on Twitter but, instead, it sent . . . don't know what to you and others.
Lucy
Glad you like the tile photo, Hermes.
Lucy
Hello Kimberly.
I was startled to come across these beautiful (and very shiny!) tiles at the entrance to a pub in an otherwise quite dull street.
Lucy
Hi there in Casablanca, Blogitse!
Lucy
Hello Happy Mouffetard.
That must be the first time Castletown on Portland (Dorset) has ever been compared to Santa Fe. What fun!
Lucy
Hello James.
This is a detail cropped from a photo I linked to in your weekend reflections last week.
http://picturesjustpictures.blogspot.com/2010/03/anchor-in-window.html
I reckoned people would probably have been looking so intently at the anchor reflected in the windows that they might have missed the building and windows reflected in the tiles - but I could hardly link a bit of a picture I'd already linked!
Lucy
Hello Pat.
I would think if ever this pub is knocked down - someone will either take these tiles to a museum or sell them.
One of the things I like about them is the way the glaze is a little crazed. Did you notice that too?
Lucy
Hi Lucy,
I did notice it. I love old things and what they represent. Who walked by there, who touched those tiles, etc..
What a great eye Lucy...the imagination can run wild just staring at this long enough. Thanks.
Hello Pat
Yes, and it's a history meets the present place - in a pub. (By its location, probably for sailors, Royal Navy (and Merchant). I would guess there are increasing numbers of wealthy people who own their own sailing boats. There's times changing!
(Perhaps I should be brave some time and take a look during opening hours!)
Lucy
Thanks Chuck.
I'm pleased you (and others) are seeing so much in this photo.
Lucy
Fabulous, wife and I just love it.
