I'm having trouble accessing Blogspot so posts may not be daily at present. Meanwhile - there are plenty of good photos at Monochrome Weekend

Good to see you back, this looks OK.
I was suddenly able to access Blogspot blogs this morning. Don't know what the problem was or why it has suddenly gone - which means I don't know whether it will happen again.
It does feel like coming home after a holiday though. Hope I'm here to stay!
Lucy
You probably need a drink to calm your nerves. Welcome back.
Well worth the wait, Gary
Great to have you back, is this outside your back door ?
Welcome back! :)

Hi Folks.
It's good to be back!
Do you see they've put the flags (well, flag) out?
Given its location I suspect it's a naval one of some kind.
Lucy
Oh I love this picture! Is very original. Now just need some kids with a ball to try some shoots:)
Hugs from Portugal.
May your blogs continue Lucy. I'm not a drinker but I wish Free House meant what it sunds like!
Hi Webruci
These kegs would make quite a clatter, wouldn't they!
Lucy
Hermes - I don't think there are many Free Houses left are there?
And the terminology is changing. The difference between an Inn and a Pub used to clear in a way it no longer is.
And with this picture . . . I say 'cafe' because it looks more like a cafe than an hotel but the notice about vacancies suggests otherwise.
(Certainly not the outside of my house!)
Lucy
Very nice image Lucy!
Thanks James.
Lucy
I can't make the flag out at all - seems rather strange.
I love all the kegs, there's so much variety when you look close.
I hope your Blogspot troubles get sorted out soon.
hi lucy . great image of interest . i do have those shots in b/w ...i
Hello Dragonstar.
I looked at a colour photo I took on the same day where the flag is opened out more - then looked it up on
http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/training-and-people/the-rn-today/ship-s-badges-and-flags/
and discover it is the flag of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed about Blogger / Blogspot. Someone from the internet provider phoned yesterday and they haven't found any problems at their end but, as the issue seems to have solved itself, all I can do is hope it won't happen again. (If I vanish, you'll know it has!)
Lucy
Thanks Elk.
Lucy
Very cool, Lucy ... love it!
Thanks, Joey.

Very cool shot Lucy, I like all the different tones in the kegs. Sorry for visiting so late, this week has been a bit of a marathon.
That must've been quite the party.
Hello Serendipity.
When I took this photo, it was for the sake of the shape of the stack and the shape of the light on the metal. It was only when I looked at it at home that I came to appreciate the colours of the kegs too. Hurray for cameras which allow us to re-visit the same scenes over and over and get more from them each time we visit.
I hope your marathon week has been a happy one.
Lucy
Hello Marka.
Given the location of this pile of kegs, I guess it was a naval party.
Lucy
I love Monochrome photos they seam to become so much more detailed than a coloured photo.
