That's better I like colour, none round here today.

Hello Adrian.

We have sunshine and blue sky this afternoon in South Dorset.

I was still putting up the post when you left your comment so you missed the two half pictures. I was having trouble with my cropping programme which was putting up notices saying it had automatically 'improved' my picture. What an irritating thing!

Best pop back for another look then. Worth it and like these much more than the monochrome.

What a great eye (and lens) you have Lucy. That works so well.

Hello Adrian.

I still like the monochrome - even though I like these too. I think I probably like monochrome photos for lasting interest. But these are fun.

I wonder what kind of beer is/was in them.

Well, some of them have 'Guinness' stamped on them. Not sure if that accounts for them all though. However, my guess is that it's a 'was' rather than an 'is' for I don't suppose these kegs would stay there un-attended in the street for long if they were full!

No thirsty people around there. Who would think to take a shot like that, and yet it worked nicely. Good eye.

Hello Scott.

It's an usual sight.

The street in which I took this photo was almost completely devoid of sunlight and only two people came by all the time I was walking up and down there. (Two burly men in bright yellow jackets and covered in mud!) There were hardly any cars either so I could stand in the road to take photos - not that many came out well enough to use; in part because of the light and in part because the street is narrow so it was difficult to get proper angles on things and partly because it was cold and I was colder than I have been in many years and my hands were red and painful and unwilling to hold the camera!

Hello Blogitse.

Yes, things seem to be ticking over ok at present.

I would guess you have a better chance of a sunny weekend in Cairo than we do in Dorset, just at present!
