Great shot that shows that life will find away even during hardship or flood in this case.

Hello Blogitse

It's ok. I don't see this as a 'competition'. Saying 'I can't compete' is just a way of saying how much I admire James' photography! Which I do!

Hello James.

I think this is a sad, rather than a hopeful, picture in that I think the ivy has been torn from its tree and dumped in the water.

I've changed the title to 'Broken Ivy in a Stream' - which is what I'd nearly called it when I first posted the picture.

If it doesn't get washed away I'm betting it will take root and thrive. :)
Nice capture!

I like the subtle reflections and the contrast in colour between the ivy and the mud.

Hello Everyone.

I'm glad you like the photo of the Broken Ivy in the Stream. It is very 'of the season' where I live - occasional dots of colour in a sea of brown! I was uncertain whether to put it forward for James' Weekend Reflections because the reflection is not the true subject. It is crucial, none the less, for it supplies the context.

There's a metaphor in there!

Lovely spot of green among the brown. And the subtle reflection of the trees is wonderful.

Happy weekend!

I think this is a pretty good photo. I like the touch of green. You might try a tighter crop (as an experiment of course).
