Not to deride your previous efforts but this is the best yet for me. A stunning image.
Thanks Adrian.

Hi Lucy,
Fantastic image, I love it. The lighting and exposure is just perfect, did you use a backdrop?
Gary
Hello Gary - no backdrop. Took it outdoors (it's still on the plant!) with very short focal length and with the light-metre centred on the leaves. I then changed the exposure on the computer. That sent the boring old fence which was the real background into oblivions and left what you see on the screen.

Ok,it's worked really well. Sometimes when I do shots like this I have a large black velvet sheet I hang behind the subject.
I have been trying out a new camera, it's called a GoPro Hero, it's a tiny digital camera in a waterproof housing, good for Kayaking. It comes with a wrist strap so you wear it like a watch. It also does video and you can set it to take photos automatically every few seconds. I will keep you posted on results.
I like how this photo is primarily black, and how you've backlit the honeysuckle.
Very cool image!
Fabulous
Lovely, Lucy!
Hello Marka.
Glad you like the honeysuckle leaves. It wasn't me who backlit the honeysuckle though, it was the sun. I have a habit of taking pictures into the sun and it works well with leaves because the light coming through makes visible the little grooves and ridges, shows where the leaf is thick and where thin and brings the whole structure to life.
Lucy
Thanks, Martha and Mo.
