rust here, rusty there :)
I like your rust-fabric combination!
Clever as well as attractive. Those are some of my favorite colors (autumn colors), but then I'm sure it is because I had (notice I wrote: had) dark auburn hair, freckles, and brown eyes.
I like the colors and the textures. Nice shot.
Hello Blogitse and Barbee and James.
I want to hasten to let you know this isn't something I have created - I just took the photo.
It is part of a lampost. For some reason (can't think why!) someone tied the strip of cloth round it like a belt, and hung string there too. This must have happened quite a long time ago because the fabric has gone green with mould. You may not have immediately recognised it is part of a lampost because the camera was on its side when I took the picture . . . and the picture looks more interesting that way so I left it.
Barbee - it sounds as if you were very beautiful (sure you still are but in a different way)and these colours would have suited you. I think they would look brilliant too if knitted into a jumper.

I like! The green is gorgeous
Wonderful. The colours and I want to touch it to feel those textures.
It is very strange that things like these can be so beautiful but they are! Very nice colurs and I like the textures also. Reminds me of autumn which for me is the best of times. :)
I can't decide what I like more, the moss covered rust, the color, the fabric contrasting with the metal...suffice to say, I really, really, like this. Brilliant.
Hello Moira, Hermes and AKO.
It was a grey day when I found this lampost with its strip of old cloth tied round. It gave me great pleasure and lifted my spirits. I put aside my shopping and, since it was a quiet street with no traffic I walked round and round it for a while, then knelt in the road to take photos. I kept my eyes averted from passers by! I think perhaps the more peculiar one's behavious seems, the less likely people are to stop and talk! I'm glad the result pleases you too.

I love this shot. Not only the composition, but the color.
Thanks Evil Pixie.
It was so nice to come across warm, autumn colours like these on a drab winter's day.
