LUCY CORRANDER - PICTURES JUST PICTURES - BENCH BEHIND BARS - NOVEMBER 30TH 2009 - SONY DSC-T77 - DSC05054BRSAT
Adrian - like this?
Ah! Just so it's facing east instead of west. This bench is on a hill overlooking the sea. Hope the captains of ships out there don't take such a liberties with the compass. But . . . here is it is (below) . . . the wrong direction bench.
Something interesting happens (to my eyes) when the image is flipped horizontally - the view out of the window becomes the focal point so it is no longer a picture of a bench but of a window with the bench leading attention towards it.
I tried a combination.
I quite like this!

Oh this makes a very nice graphic, lines and lines!

Lucy, this is a good image but disturbing. I know women don't understand but it needs to run from right to left. flip it! Or please yourself--- you are streets ahead of me in the artistry stakes.
Goodness Adrian!
Men turn out to be more perplexing than I'd realised.
I've added a flipped image.
Lucy
Thanks Three Rivers.
It makes an interesting image but I felt sad when I saw it that such a good bench should be shut off from public use like this.
Lucy
Brilliant xx
Lucy was thinking a horizontal flip but this will do. Cheers.
Thanks Rothschild Orchid.
Lucy
Then I'll try that!
Glad men don't turn out always to see the world upside down.
Have tried both directions together and quite like the result.
What do you think?

Lucy cracked it. That's now how it should look.....To me....The composite works really well, thank you for your patience, nice to find someone who will accommodate my whims.
Hello again Adrian.
You seem to have set a trend.
Marka suggested the next picture posted should be flipped too.
I think I'll start calling this a flippin blog.
Lucy
Lucy, I refrained from comment for a while as I have visitors who hate me flipping. Bugger them, if they don't know, then they prefer right to left.
Marka is possibly French. All the best.
PS. We captains know and if we don't. by the time we hit the bench kiss goodbye to an illustrious career. Gwen has some cracking images http://fixedandflowing.blogspot.com/
But so many are back to front. Can't persuade her either. Must be me.
Pennsylvania, Adrian.
I suppose I'm hooked on reality, hence reluctance to flip - but perfectly happy to experiment with direction - and more than happy when people make suggestions!
