It glows. Nice.

Hello Marie and Janet.

I think light makes the remains of these plants look like frost on a window.

I thought of frost (especially considering how cold it is this afternoon) and a Morris wallpaper.

Hermes . . . I kept changing my mind about which photo to put here today, this one, another one or a telegraph pole. The 'another one' is much more Morissian than this - but I only realise it now you have introduced the idea.

Thanks.

I like such shots of patterns very much, and this one is no exception. Well done!

It reminds me of ice on windows.

Surprisingly, all of the rooftops in my shots belong to school buildings. I'm grateful to whoever designed them - it's a wonderful roofscape!

I like the feathery effect. Interesting how lack of colour changes what we see.

Beautifull picture. It really glows.

Very nice picture, I too thought it was frost.

I like the way this turned out with the lighting and late season growth.

Hello Della, Aileni and Dagrun.

I'm pleased that you like the patterns in the photo of Viper's Bugloss. They are one to the reasons I posted it.

Another is that, although lots of tones are often valued in black and white - sometimes, a blast of light appeals.

And I think it's pretty too. Sometimes, it's hard to produce a pretty picture without sentimentality creeping in. (Nothing wrong with sentimentality - it's just that I try to avoid it!)

Lene - I'm very proud you have become a follower of PICTURES JUST PICTURES. I'm also pleased to know of your blog. I have followed John's for a while. How wonderful to have two such accomplished photographers in the same family.

I have been looking at your photos and enjoying them. I have problems scrolling down though because I have a very un-powerful laptop. (Which is the reason I don't leave many comments on your husband's blog. Sometimes, I can't get it to load at all.)

I'll try harder and try to be more patient in future!

Hello Kitty and Just Me Again.

I'll have to see if I can take a picture of frost to pair this picture with when winter comes.

Tone and Carver and Japa de Calabanga, hello. It's the light, isn't it! I think I am more often aware of the dark in black and white photos.

Thank you Magic Eye.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to PICTURES JUST PICTURES.

Dead weeds? Interesting.

Lucy Corrander said...

Dead weeds, Daryl? Wild flowers going to seed in autumn!

(Though this was originally one of a sequence entitled 'Take a Patch of Roadside Weeds' - but, in the end, I decided to post just the one photo. (I'm whispering that!) )

Very lovely photo, I like how light and airy it is depsite the large amount of wildflowers. It is full without being cluttered or crowded.

It's true, it looks lika frost on the plants. Nice light!

i like this one, very unique

Hello Calico Crazy

That's exactly the thing about many wild plants. They manage both to pack themselves in while maintaining a delicate tracery.

Then there's denses undergrowth . . . but the ground level even of that is often surprisingly light.
