Seems to be an extraordinary amount of dazzle from a small area of the bonnet.

Great picture! You had to lay down on the ground for this one, for sure!

I like the raindrops in the foreground.

I preferred the large one - and i liked that low perspective.

Hello Aileni

It's one of those occasions when the sun picks on something quite ordinary and does something special with it.

Nice reflection on the car

Hello Sylvia

I like the way having a camera in hand gives one the confidence to crawl around on the pavement or the undergrowth.

A few weeks ago quite an elderly gentleman came running to help me. He'd just pulled a boat up onto the beach and saw me down on the ground and thought I was ill. I'm glad he laughed when I popped up perfectly ok and showed him what probably looked like a very insignificant row of weeds on the edge of the cliff! Chasing up a bank to rescue a non-invalid probably wasn't the way he was planning to rest after rowing.

Hello Janet.

Funny the different things which leap out at us. My eye gets drawn to the puddle!

Thanks Rune. I like to take photos from ground level. That and looking straight up . . . ordinary things which the eye usually wouldn't see.

Lucy

P.S. I put the little photo there to be clicked and the bigger one for looking at in the whole. L.

Tanja - It's funny about the light reflecting from the car because, when I started to take the photo, that wasn't what caught my eye - even though it landed up being important!

That dazzle/ sparkle made the difference. Good shot.

Hello Danton.

Thank you - and you are right. That light strike is pivotal.

Can't be my car, the wheel is not ON the kerb! I love the idea of you being taken for ill crawling around taking pictures (lol).

Hello Hermes.

One day, I'll come a-cropper. I'll be dieing in agony and people will pass by saying 'It's ok, she's photo-ing that stone again.'!

Hello Lucy. I really like your photographic style, in this picture and the several other pictures that I looked at.

I feel inspired after looking at them.

You must have been flat on the ground here.

Nice perspective shot.

The enlarged photo brings in the prominence of the kerb which might also serve as a cobbled walk for some small critter. Nifty.

This is such a cool angle! Like a snail's eye view :) That little twinkle of sunlight makes the car look happy.

And thanks so much for your comment! I didn't want to risk editing any of the pictures - they looked OK on the camera screen, but on my computer screen there were a lot of completely black patches. I think I should try to find another screen...

I like your choice..the angle as well as the raindrops here in mono-

Lucy - Your photos are so well seen and rise above the ordinary. You have a great eye and even if elderly gentlemen think you need a hand up after falling in the street, please keep taking photos from the street level if you think it best. It sure makes for terrific images.

I welcomed you as a Follower at Tampa Daily Photo (I hope others will visit Pictures Just Pictures) and appreciate your interest in my part of the world here on Florida's Gulf Coast. Dorset is fascinating and I'll keep an eye on your blog and discoveries. - Frank

Kitty, Kilau Poetry and Mo - I'm doing a bit of catching up with comments. Thank you for remarking upon the angle in the 'Car in the Kerb' photo. It's often how something really boring takes on a new aspect.
