Such a strange picture - I cannot get my head around the two elements that you tend not to see together in the same frame - very good.

Hello Karen - this is what happens when you have a small garden!

Hello Gary.

Well - I did use the top of a squash for a Christmas Card.

(Turned it black and white.)

So maybe this year it will be tomato baubles!

Hello Dibear. Seems as if the card side of Christmas is organised then!

Now for making the presents!

"this is what happens when you have a small garden!" - and a poor Summer. My Dad's didn't ripen either.

Morning Hermes.

The 'small garden' bit was meaning the way plants get tangled with each other . . . but these tomatoes did ripen (in the end!) and have been eaten (by me!).

I took the photo on the last day of August when a bit of colour should have been showing but wasn't . . . then we suddenly had a brief September summer and things caught up. Don't think the flavour of late ripenings is as good as earlier ones though.

If I do use this as a Christmas card . . . it will give the impression that Dorset is very VERY much behind with its seasons!
