Hello everyone who liked the photo of the Red Apple on the Dark Grey Blanket.
Like the apple in Snow White, it was bright red on one side but ordinary green on the other - but we survived eating it none the less!
Karen - I didn't do anything special to take the photo. My new camera (which I don't like) takes better photos indoors than out.
Jodi - one can never complain about too many strawberries!
Ron - never short of a haiku! 'Soft Comfort' adds to the harshness of the fairy tale allusion.
Victoria - I think most memorable photos have an air of unreality about them.
Hermes - I'm afraid a supermarket stood in for the old lady.
Kanak - the apple was no-where near as good as it looks. All colour and no taste!
Elk - I find that blanket such a good background, I have to resist taking too many photos with it in. Could bring back leaves and rocks and trees to put on it and they would all show well! Given, as I mentioned to Karen, my camera's preference for indoor shots, perhaps I should abandon nature and start a new blog called 'Taken on the Blanket'!

What a great photo...looks surreal with the background especially. Looking forward to fresh apples later (we're heavy into strawberries right now...)
Fabulous - how on did you do that - it has worked really well

Gorgeous. Jodi's right - it looks slightly unreal, like an apple in a fairy tale.
Red and shades of Grey
Make the red seem more redder
The grey, soft comfort
Great photo, really good, but I thought like Victoria, I hope it wasn't given to you by an old lady at the door!
Would love a bite of that!
like it against the gray
