Well, Hermes, these pots were made by my neighbour Esther Montgomery ( Esther's Boring Garden Blog ) and she sowed sweet corn in them - but she didn't make the drainage holes big enough so most kernels rotted before they germinated and she landed up with only three seedlings - one of which got eaten by slugs before it could be planted out. Not exactly a bumper crop expected this year!

That's a shame. Nowadays I have to carefully label everything (and leave post it notes everywhere) or I just forget. I like Sweet Corn too.
