I've always wanted to grow a vine, and I love their leaves, especially when the sun shines through them.

Gosh, that's an awfully blue sky for England. Has summer arrived there now?

That picture epitomises summer for me Lucy.

The variations of green are just lovely.

Hermes - perhaps you should grow a vine? This Black Hamburg is supposed to be a greenhouse plant but works well as an outside climber with lovely foliage. It even produces grapes from time to time - but that's not the point.

Hello Mo.

About the blue sky behind the vine leaf - it's something to do with Dorset. We are lucky to have wonderful blue skies for much of the year. Just at the moment, though, it is swinging around between deep blue and mist.

Weaver and Grass and Suzi - it's such a privilege to live in a place where green is the colour of summer rather than parched brown.
