It isn't blood on the leaf (leastways, not mine!) though it does look like it, I agree - so much so that I looked back through my files to see when it was taken. (Had to use an old photo again today because my new phone isn't yet up and running.)
And it's strange. I took it on the same day as I got quite a deep gash from a rose thorn - and then I really did drip blood around the place (wrote a Loose and Leafy Post about it) . . . but I had already taken this photo by then - about a quarter of an hour earlier.

That photograph definately conveys a quality of 'sharpness'. Brought back memories of many a scratch.
