In fact, it took me a little while to work out what it was when I first came across it.

Maybe, in the summer, I'll have the nerve to take off my shoes and socks and re-photgraph it through water.

I'm glad you like the Paddling Pool Drain. I find it a very cheerful picture because of its simplicity and because of the colour. The blue is bright without being a primary. Primaries are nice but they can be a bit wearing!

I like the way the white lines are bold and straight but the bit of grass which has fallen onto them introduces an imperfection - and perfection can be wearing too!

This is what attracted me to such an odd subject . . . maybe the cheerfulness of it attracted you too?

But, very often, one never knows . . . !
