I find this photo (of the Ivy and Corrugated Fencing) very stark. The upright corrugated iron sheets remind me of Roman soldiers' shields in a defensive line, with the viewers lined up against them (less powerful) on this side of the barbed wire.
The ivy might have represented peace but, to me, it is more as if it is creeping in to obscure and camouflage an embattled but static situation.
I find this a very powerful photo and I'm glad you like it too.
