What are you doing in Wokingham?

You know it's only 10 miles from me?

Seen so many grey skies like that lately - though tomorrow is meant to be sunny here in the SW.

Hello Zoe

I was in Wokingham in response to a family crisis (I'm home now) so getting in touch wasn't practical (especially because I don't have a car) - though I did think of you while I was there and thought how nice it would have been if we could have met.

It's possible that I may be back in February. If so, and depending on how you are by then, maybe we could meet up? I'd so much like to meet you 'in person'!

Around then, or closer to Easter, I may briefly be in Finchampstead - I think that may be even closer to you?

Hello Hermes

I'm now back in Dorset and the early promise of a fine day seems to be wavering . . . we'll see!

It was grey and rainy nearly all the time I was in Wokingham. On the one fine morning the battery ran out on my phone so that did it for pictures.

This one was taken when it was not only grey, it was beginning to rain AND getting dark. Not the best conditions for a camera!

However, I really like the spikey shapes.

Wokingham is frustrating. There are many, many magnificent trees; tall, old and very beautiful. But there are also too many houses getting in the way!

So, this picture is also a kind of protest - that this turned out to be one of the most interesting skylines!

(A tree simply doesn't look the same when there's a bungalow roof poking into the edge of the frame!)

Hopefully, when I go again, if the weather is better, I will be able to explore more away from the town . . .

Humph.

(That or specialise in photographs of car-parks. Wokingham has a lot of those.)

Lucy
