Lucy Corrander - Rusted Bike Submerged by Sea
I really like the lighting of that photograph, although it is a shame that the rubbish is there in the first place. Is it the same bike as the photo farther down ?
Hello CindyYes, it's the same bike.I love the sea. It has transformed this rubbishy old bike into something beautiful and of tantalising interest.I love this picture too. It's more like a painting than a photograph. And I'll have to go back soon to find out whether the tide has removed the bike completely or broken into into more pieces or washed it further along the beach. An unfolding story!Lucy
Lucy, you've beaten me to it - I was going to say that the photo looked like an Impressionist painting.
Wow, this gives a person something to think about! I studied it closely. I wondered how it got there, how long ago, who was riding, were they hurt. I could write a story about this picture!
Jane Marie - perhaps you should!I've been peering into it too - I feel strangely moved when I look at the way seaweed has draped itself about the bike and the way the two parts are being torn away from each other.Lucy
