On one hand, rubbish on the beach is unacceptable. On the other, this has a changing beauty and has become part of the place.

What I find interesting too is how I react to it, depending on where on the beach it is. It gets moved around quite a bit within a small area. Sometimes it looks really sculptural . . . sometimes it looks like nothing more than a bit of old rubbish which somebody should clear away.

LucyLucy Corranderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743561298706555813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990121379662700939.post-544034063797896182009-09-25T00:15:38.750+01:002009-09-25T00:15:38.750+01:00Hi Lucy

I hope you continue to post pictures of it until it has completely gone.

KKaren - An Artist's Gardenhttp://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990121379662700939.post-71535194729145232962009-09-24T10:02:40.924+01:002009-09-24T10:02:40.924+01:00I think that would be a great post Lucy and rather...I think that would be a great post Lucy and rather a good metaphor for life.Hermeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00968366076064269729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990121379662700939.post-30035865221314626842009-09-24T09:46:45.865+01:002009-09-24T09:46:45.865+01:00Hello Hermes.

I think it will, one day, get so light, the sea really will take it.

There's less and less of it . . . and once children take an interest in it, it will disintegrate even faster.

And, when it is gone, I think I will have to give it a good send off by re-publishing all its pictures in a row.

LucyLucy Corranderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743561298706555813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990121379662700939.post-22137693547240276002009-09-24T09:44:36.230+01:002009-09-24T09:44:36.230+01:00Hello Janet - I'm sure you could touch the r...Hello Janet - I'm sure you could touch the rusty remains of the bike . . . though I'd be sad if you took it away. It's become almost a friend over the months. Every so often I go to visit and photograph it. One day, inevitably, it will be gone - and I know I will be sad.

LucyLucy Corranderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743561298706555813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990121379662700939.post-9412888358293269132009-09-24T07:24:10.723+01:002009-09-24T07:24:10.723+01:00Great shot Lucy.
