I'm surprised, too, that such telegraph poles are still in use. It's the tallest one I know and is in the centre of some roughish ground, with the wires leading out to the houses in a kind of square around it.

I like this one. The wires that go out in a whell fashion- so thin and delicate against the rough wood make for a nice composition.
